GOVERNMENT BACKED ECO4 SCHEME

Launched in 2013, the Energy Company Obligation (ECO) has facilitated the upgrade of 2.4 million homes. Now in its fourth phase (ECO4), with a budget of £4 billion allocated from 2022 to 2026, qualifying households can benefit from this initiative.

Through the ECO4 Scheme, eligible homes may access discounted or even free home insulation, as well as upgraded boilers or renewable systems. However, participation is limited to the most energy-inefficient homes, typically those with an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of D or lower.

Moreover, another scheme, ECO+, targets the least energy-efficient homes across Great Britain. This initiative aims to assist up to 300,000 households in England, Scotland, and Wales by improving insulation, thereby making homes easier to heat and reducing energy costs.

Heating

There are various heating measures we install such as:
First-time central heating (FTCH): Central heating for homes that currently have no central heating system installed.
Air Source Heat Pump: ASHP installation is possible whether you have a mains gas connection or not. We couple this with Solar PV installation to keep monthly bills down and to power the ASHP.
Electric Storage Heaters: Upgrade of storage heaters to more efficient units or replacement/ repair of broken heaters.

ENERGY PERFORMANCE REPORTS

Our Retrofit Assessors will carry out an Energy Performance Report on the property, which is our starting point for planning what upgrades are viable and needed.The survey will inspect: insulation, lighting, heating systems etc..

  I had IWI insulation done on our property Dave and his team were a masterclass, belongings were covered well and floor protection was put down where needed some areas of our house were getting new flooring so not everywhere needed covering!   Dave and his Internal Wall Insulation team were our first contact with the program of improvements at our home. Dave and his team began work laying dust sheets and carpet protection which set the tone for their friendly and considerate approach. The work is by its nature very disruptive and dusty but they worked very hard during the week they were with us, completing work tidily and cleaning up after each day. Dave went above and beyond providing advice and updating us with scheduled arrivals of materials and trades. We were sad to see them leave. Everything else is proceeding well with subsequent trades… House already feels warmer with internal wall insulation even though ASHP isn’t yet installed… It’s an upheaval but will be a huge improvement.

  Internal wall insulation, heat pump central heating, loft insulation and solar installed. Good communication throughout, Luke genuinely does go out of his way to make sure clients are cared for. Friendly team all round. The only piece of advice i would give potential clients is cover all your belongings yourself, don't expect all labourers to do so and if you're having a lot done maybe go stay somewhere else for a few days :)
